Os organizadores, liderados pelo Almirante de Esquadra Ilques Barbosa J\u00fanior, apresentaram uma proposta para o Plano Nacional de Transi\u00e7\u00e3o Energ\u00e9tica Brasileiro (BMNAP). Espera-se que o plano oriente os investimentos em tecnologia de propuls\u00e3o de navios, combust\u00edveis mar\u00edtimos alternativos e infraestruturas portu\u00e1rias, assim como atraia apoio pol\u00edtico na implementa\u00e7\u00e3o de um roteiro para a descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o mar\u00edtima.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A proposta est\u00e1 em an\u00e1lise e ser\u00e1 discutida em audi\u00eancia p\u00fablica no Senado Federal no dia 22 de agosto. O BMNAP finalizado ser\u00e1 apresentado ao Comit\u00ea de Prote\u00e7\u00e3o do Meio Ambiente Marinho da Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mar\u00edtima Internacional (IMO), que se reunir\u00e1 no final de setembro de 2024. Esta a\u00e7\u00e3o ajudar\u00e1 a solidificar o compromisso do Brasil no cen\u00e1rio internacional.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Antes do semin\u00e1rio, o Conselho Internacional de Transporte Limpo (ICCT) publicou um documento destacando o valor de um <a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/publication\/recommendation-to-develop-a-brazilian-maritime-national-action-plan-aug23\/\"><span class=\"s1\">Plano de A\u00e7\u00e3o Nacional<\/span><\/a> no Brasil para orientar investimentos e fomentar pol\u00edticas que apoiem uma ind\u00fastria mar\u00edtima limpa. A publica\u00e7\u00e3o destacou a import\u00e2ncia da ado\u00e7\u00e3o de combust\u00edveis renov\u00e1veis e da melhoria da efici\u00eancia energ\u00e9tica da frota existente, ambos refletidos na proposta do BMNAP. O artigo tamb\u00e9m destacou o potencial de colabora\u00e7\u00f5es intersetoriais, incluindo aquelas com portos.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">No semin\u00e1rio, o secret\u00e1rio-geral da IMO, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imo.org\/en\/MediaCentre\/PressBriefings\/pages\/Arsenio-Dominguez-Velasco-confirmed-as-next-IMO-Secretary-General.aspx\"><span class=\"s1\">Arsenio Antonio Dominguez Velasco<\/span><\/a>, fez refer\u00eancia aos<i>insights <\/i>do estudo do ICCT sobre as <a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/publication\/maritime-brazil-hydrogen-costs-mar23\/\"><span class=\"s1\">emiss\u00f5es de gases de efeito estufa do ciclo de vida do hidrog\u00eanio<\/span><\/a> no Brasil durante seu discurso de abertura. Este e outros artigos do ICCT lan\u00e7aram luz sobre a necessidade de aplicar <a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/publication\/marine-lca-fuels-apr23\/\"><span class=\"s1\">uma metodologia robusta de avalia\u00e7\u00e3o do ciclo de vida<\/span><\/a> ao avaliar a sustentabilidade de combust\u00edveis mar\u00edtimos alternativos. Na verdade, os participantes do semin\u00e1rio destacaram o desafio de dar prioridade ao investimento devido \u00e0s incertezas que rodeiam a tecnologia dos combust\u00edveis e a viabilidade econ\u00f4mica.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Apresenta-se aqui um breve estudo de caso do graneleiro <i>Cape Jasmine<\/i>, que transporta min\u00e9rio de ferro. Optou-se por analisar uma extensa e importante rota mar\u00edtima que vai do Porto de A\u00e7u no Brasil (A\u00c7U) at\u00e9 Qingdao na China (QDG), com demandas energ\u00e9ticas substanciais. Ao analisar dados de movimentos de navios de 2023 do Sistema de Identifica\u00e7\u00e3o Autom\u00e1tica (AIS), projetamos uma hipot\u00e9tica viagem futura desta embarca\u00e7\u00e3o, que tem capacidade de carga substancial (comprimento total: 292 m; largura: 45 m; pontal: 24,8 m; calado: 18,32 m). O modelo <a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/publication\/greenhouse-gas-emissions-from-global-shipping-2013-2015\/\"><span class=\"s1\">de Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o Sistem\u00e1tica de Emiss\u00f5es de Embarca\u00e7\u00f5es (SAVE)<\/span><\/a> foi utilizado para estimar as demandas de energia da rota, o que resultou em aproximadamente 15 GWh para a viagem de ida e volta, de cerca de 20.000 milhas n\u00e1uticas. Isso equivale ao consumo anual de energia el\u00e9trica residencial de 19.230 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epe.gov.br\/sites-pt\/publicacoes-dados-abertos\/publicacoes\/PublicacoesArquivos\/publicacao-160\/topico-168\/Fact%20Sheet%20-%20Anu%C3%A1rio%20Estat%C3%ADstico%20de%20Energia%20El%C3%A9trica%202022.pdf\"><span class=\"s1\">habitantes do sudeste do Brasil<\/span><\/a> em 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Aproveitando a metodologia <a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/publication\/refueling-assessment-of-a-zero-emission-container-corridor-between-china-and-the-united-states-could-hydrogen-replace-fossil-fuels\/\"><span class=\"s1\">que utilizamos anteriormente<\/span><\/a>, a an\u00e1lise mostra que a utiliza\u00e7\u00e3o de hidrog\u00eanio l\u00edquido como combust\u00edvel exigiria duas paradas adicionais para reabastecimento para completar a viagem (s\u00f3 ida). Em contraste, a am\u00f4nia e o metanol poderiam alimentar a viagem de ida sem quaisquer paragens adicionais (Tabela 1). Para explorar o custo dos combust\u00edveis alternativos, a an\u00e1lise baseou-se em um <a href=\"https:\/\/theicct.org\/publication\/feasibility-study-of-future-energy-options-for-great-lakes-shipping-march24\/\"><span class=\"s2\">estudo anterior do ICCT<\/span><\/a>, que comparou quantitativamente o custo dos combust\u00edveis mar\u00edtimos por v\u00e1rias vias. Para esclarecimento, apenas foi comparado o custo do combust\u00edvel para vias que utilizam eletricidade renov\u00e1vel e capturam di\u00f3xido de carbono como mat\u00e9ria-prima. Al\u00e9m disso, embora o metanol e a am\u00f4nia tenham potencial para abastecer viagens de longo curso sem a necessidade de paradas de reabastecimento mais frequentes, a sua toxicidade inerente e a necessidade de modifica\u00e7\u00f5es significativas nos navios apresentam desafios. Tal como demonstrado no estudo de caso acima, o custo tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 um desafio para todos os tr\u00eas tipos de combust\u00edveis alternativos limpos.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Um aspecto fundamental para viabilizar uma transi\u00e7\u00e3o para a energia limpa \u00e9 a sinergia em toda a ind\u00fastria mar\u00edtima. Isso significa colabora\u00e7\u00e3o entre propriet\u00e1rios de carga, operadores de navios, portos, fornecedores de combust\u00edvel, construtores navais e outros. Com o BMNAP em fase de conclus\u00e3o, o Brasil est\u00e1 preparado para demonstrar n\u00e3o apenas lideran\u00e7a nessa colabora\u00e7\u00e3o, mas tamb\u00e9m o seu compromisso com as metas
